About Our Company

Facilities with less have more

When asked to rise to the challenge
of using less energy, we replied:
"Let the games begin!"

We can’t help but be mechanically minded at the Shamrock Group.

As we cheerfully surround ourselves with machines that strive for maximum output and efficiency, it should come as no surprise that we have gladly committed, as a company, to do exactly the same.

Self-heated warehouse

Shamrock Group’s primary manufacturing/warehousing plant at 2900 Fifth Ave. S. in Minneapolis covers one city block — and uses no natural gas, propane or fuel oil to heat this facility. Rather, we developed a highly efficient, state-of-the-art process whereby we reclaim heat from our ice manufacturing compressors to heat the entire building.

XCel Primary Energy User

To fall into this energy-efficient category means the Shamrock Group purchases only “raw” power. It is up to us to convert it to useable power. This reduces waste and our overhead — savings we can pass on to our customers.

XCel Peak Energy Control Program

If the surrounding community needs additional power, the Shamrock Group responds. When necessary, XCel will call on us to decrease our energy usage. We are actually able to shut down 100% for 6-10 hours by depending on our well insulated facilities and backup energy source — a remote closed-loop, water-cooled, 6-cylinder, low RPM generator that is perhaps the most energy efficient and clean-burning generator available today.

Clean uniforms done right

The Shamrock Group has invested in a uniform laundering process that ensures not only that our employees look tip-top 24/7 but also is committed to the environment. This service uses only natural cleansers, recycled water and fuel-efficient, commercial-grade washers and dryers.
